Kate’s Keynote

Leading in the
Real World

How to Integrate Care, Character, and Capability in a Complex and Messy World

Most leadership development still treats leaders as if they operate in neat, rational systems. In reality, leadership is human, messy, and full of tension. This keynote challenges skill-first leadership models and offers a more integrated way forward—one that helps leaders hold pressure, make better decisions in ambiguity, and lead with both strength and humanity when the stakes are high.

Keynotes are available for conferences, leadership events, and organizational gatherings.

Interactive workshops designed for real leadership work.

In addition to the sessions below, I also design custom workshops tailored to your organization’s needs. If you’re not sure exactly what you need yet, reach out and we can explore your needs together.

Workshop 01:

Collaborative Communication

A practical workshop focused on how leaders communicate under pressure, especially when stakes are high, perspectives differ, or conversations feel difficult. Participants leave with tools for clearer dialogue, stronger relationships, and more effective collaboration.

Workshop 02:

Psychological Safety
& Trust

This session explores how trust and psychological safety are built (and eroded) in everyday leadership moments. Leaders gain insight into how their behavior shapes culture and what actually helps teams feel safe, engaged, and accountable.

Workshop 03:

Adaptive Accountability

Change is the only constant in the modern workplace, but most teams respond to it in one of two unhelpful ways: clinging to rigid plans that no longer fit, or abandoning structure altogether. This workshop teaches teams how to hold both. Participants learn to be adaptive as needs shift, keep sight of the bigger outcome, and maintain accountability to each other and to the work. The result is a team that can flex without falling into chaos, and commit without becoming rigid.
